Our First Short-Term Rental — Where It Started

Before expanding into additional investment properties, our first short-term rental became the foundation for learning what it really takes to operate a successful vacation rental.

Through firsthand experience, we learned how guest expectations, pricing, amenities, maintenance, seasonality, and long-term ownership decisions all influence the experience for both owners and guests.

That experience helped shape future investment decisions and eventually led to expanding into additional opportunities.

Expanding Into Our Indian Rocks Beach Duplex

After gaining experience through our first short-term rental, we eventually expanded into our next opportunity — a duplex near Indian Rocks Beach.

This duplex became an opportunity to apply what we had learned while continuing to improve guest experience, amenities, operations, and long-term ownership strategy.

It reinforced how location, thoughtful improvements, and intentional design decisions can shape both the ownership experience and future investment opportunities.
